The Abqaiq field is located in Saudi Arabia's eastern province, around 30 kilometres west of Dhahran. The field is a northeast-southwest anticline that produces light sour crude oil, which is blended with oil from the Berri and Shaybah fields and marketed as Arab Extra Light.Abqaiq was one of the earliest fields to start producing in Saudi Arabia, and has produced continuously for almost seven decades.
