Aker Solutions is shaking things up, big time. An announcement on 17 July proposed the spin out of two new companies and a merger with sister company, Kvaerner. The changes are all about repositioning the company for a low carbon future. Additionally, the merger will provide some much-needed shelter in response to a low oil and gas market.
