The Arab Super Light (ASL) fields are a group of oil fields located in Saudi Arabia's onshore Najd region, about 200 kilometres south of Riyadh. There are five producing fields - Hawtah, Ghinah, Hazmiyah, Nuayyim and Umm Jurf. These were developed by Saudi Aramco as one project in the early 1990s. The five fields are linked via a series of pipelines to a central gas-oil separation plant (GOSP) on the Hawtah field, which is the largest field of the group. A second GOSP was built on the Nuayyim field in 2009, providing an additional 100,000 b/d production capacity.
