Australia offshore other fields (sub-commercial)

We categorise a number of offshore fields in Australia as sub-commercial. This report focuses on a subset of these fields that have seen significant exploration and appraisal programs and may previously have been targeted for development. Further details on all sub-commercial fields in Australia can be found in our Lens Upstream platform. Sub-commercial fields contain hydrocarbon volumes that are discovered, recoverable, and remaining but are not currently considered commercial due to one or more contingencies. Economically viable contingent resources correspond to development-pending, unclarified, or on-hold sub-classes in the PRMS framework. Wood Mackenzie classifies many of its sub-commercial fields as not viable, which are fields that we do not expect to be developed under current price and technology conditions.
