Report summary
The Balingian production sharing contract (PSC) contains several shallow-water oil and gas fields offshore Sarawak, and is operated by Petronas Carigali. The Temana, Bayan and D18 fields were part of the 1976 Sarawak Shell PSC, but were relinquished during 1999 and transferred to the Balingian PSC. Produced oil is transported to the Bintulu crude terminal, while gas produced from the Bayan field is sold to the domestic market.
