Report summary

The Bashenkol oil field is located in Aktobe region in central Kazakhstan close to the Kenkiyak field. It is operated by a Korean led consortium headed by Korea National Oil Company (KNOC). Bashenkol came onstream in late 2009 and the field was awarded a full production contract in April 2013. Bashenkol produces from extremely shallow reservoirs ranging from 300 to 530 metres.
