Bayu-Undan is a large gas/condensate field that straddles the TL-SO-T 19-12 and TL-SO-T 19-13 blocks (originally JPDA 03-12 and JPDA 03-13 blocks). In August 2019, Timor-Leste resolved its long-standing maritime border dispute with Australia. The border between the two countries was redrawn, and the Joint Petroleum Development Area (JPDA) was transferred to Timor-Leste, along with a small portion of Australia's offshore economic zone. Consequently, Bayu-Undan was placed under Timorese oversight. The LNG development phase consisted of gas export via a 3.5 mmtpa single-train LNG plant located in Australia at Wickham Point, Darwin. Production ceased in June 2025.
