Report summaryBlock 17 lies in the central Oriente basin and contains four fields. The most significant field, Hormiguero, came onstream in 1997 under a long-term test. Until 2005, the field remained relatively undeveloped due to both pipeline constraints and delays caused by a succession of changes in operator.
