Report summary

Block 5A is located in the Muglad - Sudd Rift Basin in South Sudan, adjacent to and on the same geological trend as the Greater Nile Oil Project (GNOP) in Sudan. The block formed part of the concession previously operated by Chevron, before the company withdrew from Sudan in the 1980s amid civil unrest.
