Asset Report
Blocks 01&02/97 (Thang Long/Dong Do)
Report summary
The Thang Long and Dong Do fields lie in the shallow waters of the Cuu Long Basin, about 160 kilometres east from the southern province of Ba Ria - Vung Tau. The fields were operated by the Lam Son JOC (PetroVietnam 50%, Petronas Carigali 50%), and have been developed via two wellhead platforms connected to an FPSO. Other development scenarios were ruled out due to Dong Do's heavy and sour crude, which require processing prior to export. Oil production from Thang Long and Dong Do began in June 2014.
