Report summary
Blocks 04/36 and 05/36, in the shallow waters of the Bohai Bay, are two of a handful of upstream PSCs offshore China. CNOOC took over the operatorship of both blocks in 2013 and has partnered with Brightoil Petroleum and PetroChina. Haiyangshiyou 112 FPSO services the two blocks.The Caofeidian 11-1 and 11-2 fields on block 04/36, being developed via fixed wellhead platforms linked to Haiyangshiyou 112, came onstream in July 2004.
