Report summaryBuzachi North is an oil field located in the North Ustyurt Basin of western Kazakhstan. The field was discovered in 1975 but was never developed, owing to the cold, viscous nature of the crude. This is a result of the reservoir being very shallow.In 1997, Kazakhstan awarded the field to Nimir Petroleum and test production began in 2000.
