Can Africa help solve Europe's gas supply crunch?
Report summary
As Europe faces up to life without Russian gas, Africa has been hailed as a potential saviour. The next-door continent is awash with gas and has enormous potential to export much more beyond its domestic needs. This has encouraged European presidents and CEOs to court their African counterparts in a bid to accelerate new investment. Indeed there is potential to double supply to nearly 100 mmtpa of LNG within a decade. However, it wont be as easy as that. African gas export projects are exposed to considerable risks. We assess these risks and analyse how much additional supply can realistically be delivered.
