Report summary
Castile (formerly Moccasin) (KC 736) is a medium size Lower Tertiary oil discovery located in the Keathley Canyon protraction area of the Central Gulf of Mexico. The field is situated in approximately 2,060 metres (6,758 feet) of water. LLOG Exploration assumed operatorship of Castile on Feburary 2019. Castile will be jointly developed with Leon which lies 29 kilometres (18 miles) to the west. Both fields will be tied back to the Salamanca Hub.
