Report summary
In this report, we benchmark key metrics for our newly-introduced Latin American thematic peer group of companies, which comprises the leading E&Ps in the region. The companies' portfolios tend to be characterised by dominant positions in their home countries and a weighting towards conventional, maturing assets. The result is a declining production outlook, albeit Petrobras is an exception due to its pre-salt growth projects. Pressure is growing for the peer group to engage in new business development and access new growth themes.
