Report summaryThe Ceres gas field is located in the Southern Gas Basin, 40 kilometres northeast of the Dimlington terminal. Ceres was discovered in 1982, but was deemed uncommercial until Venture Production (now Centrica) farmed-in to the discovery in 2007 and subsequently drilled an appraisal well. In the same year, Venture Production also discovered Eris, eight kilometres northwest of Ceres.
