In Alberta, Chevron holds 235,000 net acres in the liquid-rich Duvernay shale gas play, together with 200,000 acres in the overlying Montney tight gas play. Activity in the Montney is at a very early stage, with the company still assessing the potential of its land.In 2014 Chevron began drilling an expanded 16-well appraisal program on its Duvernay acreage.
