Chinook (WR 469) is an oil and associated gas, Lower Tertiary field in the remote Walker Ridge protraction area. The field was discovered in June 2003 and co-developed in conjunction with the nearby Cascade (WR 206) field. Chinook achieved first production in September 2012 following Cascade in February 2012. The development is using a Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel, the first ever to be deployed in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico.
