The Contract 3 Area was initially signed by Unocal in 1989 and covers a group of gas/condensate fields that have been developed on a phased basis. The first field to be developed was Funan, which was brought onstream in February 1992. Further fields in the area, including Gomin, Jakrawan, Plamuk, Surat, Trat, Yala, East Yala, South Gomin and Yungthong, have since been developed.
