The Cormorant Area comprises six oil fields in the Northern North Sea: Cormorant North, South Cormorant, Cormorant East, Pelican, Eider and Otter. The area produced nearly one billion barrels of oil between 1979 and cessation of production (CoP) in 2024. All crude was exported via the Brent pipeline system to the Sullom Voe Terminal in Shetland. South Cormorant lies 160 kilometres northeast of Lerwick, Shetland.
