Report summary
US tight oil producers led a resurgence in crude-hedging activity during Q3 2023. Companies in our analysis peer group added a net 460,000 b/d in new protections at an average strike price of US$72.74/bbl Brent. The 49 operators included in our hedging model have hedged an 10% of expected 2024 oil production.
