Diadema Area
This report is currently unavailable
Report summary
The Diadema area is located on the northern flank of the San Jorge basin and contains a group of licences operated by private Argentine company Capsa. The area includes a number of mature fields that first came onstream in the early 20th century. Capsa is conducting a secondary recovery programme to manage the decline through infill drilling, water injection, and polymer injection. The bulk of the Diadema area acreage is mature and well explored. The primary producing horizon is the Comodoro Rivadavia formation. However, some exploration potential is considered to exist in deeper horizons, consisting of complexly faulted deltaic sediments and stratigraphic traps.
