Report summary

Enerplus Resources Fund is a Canadian-based independent oil and gas producer with operations in Western Canada and the United States. In August 2009, Enerplus entered into a Joint Development Agreement (JDA) with Chief Oil & Gas to develop Chief's position in the Marcellus Shale. In 2010 EXCO Resources acquired an interest in this acreage from Chief and is a non-operating partner in the property.
