Gachsaran Area Fields
Report summary
The Gachsaran Area Fields are 13 relatively small oil fields located approximately 200 kilometres northwest of the city of Shiraz in southern Iran. The fields are situated within the prolific Zagros Basin, with total estimated oil-in-place close to 20 billion barrels. The fields were discovered in the 1940s, 1970s and 1990s.
