The Galleon gas field is located within the Sole Pit area of the Southern Gas Basin. The field has been in production for 30 years and is very mature. Phase I of the development involved the installation of a minimal facilities platform, Galleon 'PN', in the southeast part of the field. Production from Phase I started in 1994.
