Ghawar
Report summary
Ghawar is the world's largest oil and gas field. It produces from multiple reservoirs over an area of 7,200 km2. The main oil-producing reservoir is the Jurassic-aged Arab D reservoir - an elongate, north-south trending anticline comprising six discrete structural culminations. The northern half of the Ghawar comprises the Ain Dar, Shedgum and Fazran areas and the southern portion is made up of the Uthmaniyah, Hawiyah and Haradh sections.
