Report summary
Gunflint, formerly known as Freedom, is an oil and gas field located near the southern boundary of the Mississippi Canyon area of the Gulf of Mexico. It was discovered in late-2008. The field is being developed via a two well subsea tie-back to the Williams-owned Gulfstar spar (see Facility - Gulfstar Spar). Noble sanctioned the field in October 2013, with first oil expected in 2016.
