Report summary
The Jannah Contract Area (Block 5) is located in the Marib-Shabwa basin in central Yemen, adjacent to Block 18 (Marib-Jawf). It comprises five fields within three discrete blocks. Operations in Block 5 were suspended in 2015 following the escalation of hostilities and closure of crude export routes at the Ras Isa terminal. Field facilities continued to be maintained and have remained secure during the conflict. The fields began producing in the 1990s and were entering the latter stages of their productive lives when operations were suspended in 2015. Flaring activity suggests production resumed briefly in 2022...
