Kotaneelee
Report summary
The Kotaneelee gas field is located in the southeast of the Yukon Territory, close to the border with British Columbia and the Northwest Territories. The field began producing in 1979, but was suspended in 1980 and remained shut-in for 11 years until production resumed in 1991. The field reached peak production in 1999 and faced a steady decline until the last operational well was shut-in and ceased production in 2012.The field is expected to be abandoned by the end of 2017.
