La Femme (MC 427) is a small Miocene discovery located in the Mississippi Canyon protraction area of the deepwater Gulf of Mexico. The field was first discovered by Newfield in December 2004, but was never developed and later relinquished. The block was subsequently leased with LLOG eventually taking operatorship and drilling another well in 2015. Following several successful appraisal wells, the field was sanctioned in 2016 and two development wells were drilled and completed in 2017, ...
