Report summary
The Manantiales Behr and Restinga Alí blocks are located on the northern flank of the San Jorge Basin, in the province of Chubut. These areas first came on stream in the early 20th century and are operated by YPF. Since 2011, the operator has implemented a successful water injection programme which substantially increased production. YPF deployed an Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) pilot programme in 2017. Since 2019, the operator extended the EOR programme, installing multiple polymer injection plants.
