Report summaryMaui is an offshore oil, gas and condensate field located in the Taranaki Basin. The field was discovered in 1969, and is the largest gas field in New Zealand.The development consists of two platforms - Maui A and Maui B. Maui A was the first, with Maui B a secondary, unmanned platform installed in 1992 to allow for development of the southern part of the field. Gas production from Maui came onstream in 1979 and was the second field in New Zealand to commence production after Kapuni.
