Report summary
Maui is the largest field discovered in New Zealand and a critical source of domestic gas. The development consists of two platforms - Maui A and B - and an onshore production station in Oaonui. Gas and condensate are first separated on Maui A, and are then sent to the onshore production station in separate 35 km pipelines. A floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel was used during an oil production period between 1996-2006.
