Medusa (MC 582) is an oil and associated gas field located in the northwestern region of the Mississippi Canyon protraction area of the Central Gulf of Mexico. Medusa was developed using a spar floating production facility with six initial producers. First production was achieved in November 2003.The W&T-operated Gladden (MC 800) field was developed as a subsea tie-back to the Medusa spar.
