The MEG Christina Lake Project is located in Alberta's Athabasca oil sands region, northeast of the Cenovus Christina Lake thermal project, and adjacent to CNRL's Jackfish project. The in situ project is being developed in several phases and uses steam-assisted gravity drainage (SAGD) technology. The project is notable as being the sole producing asset of publicly traded MEG Energy. Phases 1 and 2 were granted regulatory approval in February 2005 and March 2007, respectively. ...
