Report summaryBlock 405b is located in the prolific Berkine Sub-basin in southeast Algeria. The block was awarded initially to First Calgary Petroleums (FCP) who appraised the existing discovery on the block, MLE, and made an additional six gas/ condensate discoveries between 2004 and 2006. In September 2008 FCP was acquired by Eni and in 2009, final investment decision (FID) was taken on the MLE field.
