Report summary
The Montara Area, located in the Timor Sea 690 km west of Darwin, has three producing oil fields: Montara, Skua and Swift/Swallow. These fields, contained within production licences AC/L 7 and AC/L 8, produce liquid through the Montara Venture, a floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel. The Montara field uses a fixed unmanned wellhead platform for development. Meanwhile, the Skua and Swift/Swallow fields, located 20-25 km northwest, are subsea completions.
