Report summary
The Narrabri project is a coal seam gas (CSG) development targeting the local New South Wales (NSW) market. It is located in the Gunnedah Basin, NSW. Following its acquisition of Eastern Star Gas (ESG) in November 2011, Santos assumed operatorship of the project. The first CSG wells drilled in the area were completed in 1998 and targeted the Bohena coal seam. The vertical Bibblewindi-1 well was hydraulically fractured in 2004 and was the first pilot well to be brought onstream.
