OMV Petrom operates the giant Neptun Deep gas project in Romania's sector of the Black Sea, which will provide the country's first-ever deepwater production. FID for Neptun Deep's core Domino and Pelican Sud fields was announced in 2023. This followed several years of delays caused by fiscal and regulatory disruption in Romania.
