Report summary
On 7 June 2015, the Aphrodite gas field in Cyprus' deepwater Block 12 was declared commercial by partners Noble Energy, Delek Drilling and Avner Oil. The 4.5 tcf gas field was discovered by Noble Energy in 2011 with the first exploration well drilled offshore Cyprus. The company has also had success in the Israeli part of the Levant Basin, having discovered the giant Tamar and Leviathan fields in 2009 and 2010 respectively.
