The North Alam El Shawish (NAES) gas-condensate field is located northwest of the main Badr El Din area and was discovered in 2016 by Shell. The fields are operated by a Cheiron/Capricorn Energy consortium.The field contains 697 bcf of gas in place (GIIP) and came onstream in November 2018. The reservoir is considered to be tight.
