Bolia-Chota is located in water depths of over 1,000 metres in the Niger Delta. It is a large anticlinal structure that straddles OMLs 131 and 135.The Chota field was discovered on in 1998 with Chota 1 well tagging both oil and gas within OPL 220. Bolia was drilled on OPL 219 and discovered in 2002. The Bolia-1 well found additional oil and gas volumes and proved to be an extension of the Chota discovery.
