The Democratic Republic of Congo's onshore fields are located within a single concession along the coast between the Congo River and the Cabinda exclave of Angola. The concession comprises seven small fields which began oil production in 1980. Perenco has operated the fields since 2000, maintaining production above 9,000 b/d until 2017 through a series of infill drilling campaigns and secondary recovery initiatives.
