Plataforma Deltana Block 4 is an exploration licence in offshore eastern Venezuela. The initial exploration programme was completed in October 2007. The operator is considering development options. The original discovery of the Cocuina field was made by PDVSA in 1983. After the Plataforma Deltana acreage was awarded in 2003, Equinor drilled an appraisal well on Cocuina in late 2006, confirming a sizable deposit.
