Report summary
The PY-3 field lies offshore southeast India, 16 kilometres from the coast of Tamil Nadu. The field produces a light sweet crude from a number of sub-sea wells tied back to a floating production unit (FPU).The PY-3 field was brought onstream in 1997. Production has dropped since 2006 even as the operator has implemented various intervention schemes. Oil is produced via the Tahara FPU.
