The Q/10-A Area is located around 60 kilometres northwest of Amsterdam in the southern North Sea. The two main fields are Q/10-A and Orion.The Q/10-A gas field (previously known as Q/7-FA) was first discovered by NAM in 1962. It was first declared uncommercial owing to a tight reservoir. In 2015, Tulip Oil revived the discovery, analysing new 3D seismic and drilling an appraisal well. This proved commercial gas accumulations in four reservoirs. Production started in 2018.
