Q4 2024 pre-FID project tracker: Shell wraps up year with Bonga North FID

Report summary
Twenty-one projects have received sanction in 2024, representing around US$75 billion of committed investment and over 9 billion boe of reserves. While the number of FIDs is similar to 2023, committed capex is down nearly 40%. In 2025, we expect up to 30 projects will take FID. Comprising of almost US$100 billion of capex and over 11 billion boe.
