Quadrant finds Dorado gold
This report is currently unavailable
Report summary
Australian explorer Quadrant Energy has made a significant light oil discovery with its Dorado-1 well in the Canning Basin. Although originally targeting a gas/condensate prospect, it has intersected a 80-metre net oil column with excellent permeability and porosity characteristics. There are currently no commercial offshore developments in the Canning, with the nearest onstream facility in the Carnarvon basin over 200 kilometres to the west. We analyse possible field sizes and commercial economics.
