The Satu Mare licence, operated by Serinus Energy, lies in the northwest of Romania in the Pannonian basin adjacent to the Suplacu de Barcau heavy oil field. The hydrocarbon fairway to the southeast, where an approximately 177 mmboe has been discovered to date, has been proven to extend in the Satu Mare area.
