Shah sour gas development comes onstream
This report is currently unavailable
Report summary
The Shah Gas Development in Abu Dhabi came onstream on 12 January 2015. Shah is a landmark project, being the first ultra-sour gas development in the Middle East. The Middle East has abundant undeveloped gas reserves, most of which are sour. Strong growth in gas consumption in the region means that an increasing number of new developments will be sour. The issue is that these projects are expensive, and traditionally gas prices in the region are low.
