Shell discovers Rydberg (MC 525) in deepwater GoM Norphlet
This report is currently unavailable
Report summary
On 15 July 2014, Shell announced a discovery at its Rydberg field in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico, encountering pay in Norphlet Jurassic sands. We estimate reserves at Rydberg to be 100 mmboe, with a valuation of US$782 million, and first oil in 2022. Shell continues its success as a leading explorer in GoM, further de-risking the Norphlet Play with an incremental subsea tie-back opportunity to its Appomattox facility.
